When Friendly Turns Aggressive

When Friendly Turns Aggressive

A man and his German shepherd guide dog walk across a street
A guide dog team crosses the street as a pet owner with two small dogs waits off to the side.

Did you know? Even the friendliest dogs can become aggressive in certain situations. Sometimes, what starts out as a friendly encounter between two dogs can suddenly turn aggressive.

Some pet owners have even said that their dogs have “never done anything like that before” after causing harm to a guide dog team.

The best way to avoid potentially dangerous situations is simple. Never allow your pet to go near a guide dog team. This ensures that all parties remain safe, and makes it easier for the guide dog to stay focused on its work at all times.
